Bonsai House

 Press release new Bonsai House

From Dale Arvidsson

2022 was a big year for Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha that saw the opening of the wonderful new Bonsai House facility late in the year. In 2023 the Gardens team will be revamping and expanding some of the living collections on display including the Bougainvillea and Australian native cultivar collections in the Native Plants for Brisbane Gardens section, to name a few.

The botanic gardens Curator Dale Arvidsson and the horticultural staff are looking to connect with the specialist flora member clubs of QCGC that the botanic gardens have living collections on show to the public of, to share knowledge and ideas to improve the garden displays.  Perhaps your club worked previously with the Gardens to develop one of their display collections, or perhaps this may be the first time to meet with the Gardens. If you are interested in hosting a visit from Dale in 2023, or would like to organise a club visit to view the living collections at one of Brisbane’s botanic gardens that your club has a focus of, please contact Dale at This email address is being protected from spambots.
