The Shelter at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha was completed in September 2003.

The Brisbane City Council and Queensland Council of Garden Clubs Inc jointly funded this valuable addition to the gardens. The Arbor, as it has been called was 'launched' by the Lord Mayor, Alderman Tim Quinn, and QCGC President, Mrs Norma Fawdon, on Wednesday 21 January 2004.

It will not only provide welcome shade and shelter from sun and rain but a place to rest and appreciate the peace and quiet of our beautiful Botanic Gardens. Look for the shelter near the Bonsai House.
