Garden Club Ambassador 2008:

Congratulations to the new QCGC Ambassador for the coming year - Mrs Heather Barlow of Pumicestone Garden Club.

Regional Friendship Days

In a spirit of celebrating the fortieth anniversary of QCGC, the committee is holding a series of regional friendship days to involve affiliated member clubs who would otherwise be unable to attend our functions because of distance.

In April 2007, members from Crows Nest, Pittsworth, Leafmore, Queensland Hibiscus Society Toowoomba and Toowoomba Geranium Society joined with committee members of QCGC at Walsh's Seed Nursery.

In June, the friendship day was held at Angela Sully's beautiful garden at Worongary.  Members from the Gold Coast Rose Society, Robina, Blue Pacific, Twin Towns, and Tamborine Garden Clubs attended.

In October 2007, Sunshine Coast clubs, under the leadership of the Buderim Garden Club, met at the Baptist Church Convention Centre.  Clubs represented were Noosa/Tewantin, Buderim, Cooroy/Eumundi, Gympie, Caloundra African Violet, Nambour, Peachester, Caboolture, and Pelican Waters.

The fourth region to be visited will be the Burnett Region on 31 March 2008.
