KENMORE GARDEN CLUB INC.
We are a group of approximately 120 members who enjoy combining gardening with fun
and friendship. Annual subscription is $20-00. Our club features:
MONTHLY MEETINGS Meetings are at 9.30 am. on the
fourth Monday of each month at the Uniting Church Hall, Cnr Chapel Hill Road and Moggill
Road. Each meeting the format includes a guest speaker, a competitive bench for plants
and flowers, morning tea, raffle, plant stall, lending library and jam stall.
BUS TOURS Regular coach tours are run to visit places
of interest, usually with a gardening theme, at very low cost. These are usually on
the second Wednesday of the month.
WALKING GROUP Members can go walking together once
a month to places of interest around Brisbane. Walks are held on the third Monday
of the month.
CRAFT GROUP The craft group meets on the third Friday
of the month to do their own craft activities or learn new skills.
MEMBERS' GARDENS Once a month there is an informal
morning when a couple of members open their gardens for others to visit.
ANNUAL ACTIVITIES include a Friendship day when
we invite representatives from other clubs. We participate in 'Queensland Council
of Garden Clubs' activities, and displays at various shows.
