| Downfall Creek Bushland Centre, McDowall

July 2005 11 November 2005 An official ceremony was held at Raven Street Reserve, Downfall Creek. The Raven Street Reserve is over 1,000 hectares of bushland set aside for the benefit of Brisbane residents, for recreation and education. This area is part of the green belt stretching from mountains to mangroves. It is also the meeting place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month for the Rode/Chermside West Garden Club. Attending the ceremony were QCGC President Norma Fawdon and the Executive Committee, Brisbane City Councillor Norm Wyndham, Mrs Garden Club, Margaret Vogler, Natalie and staff from the centre, invited guests from QCGC and Garden Club representatives who raised the money for this venture. Norma and Margaret Vogler, Mrs Garden Club for 2005 and the President of
Boonah Garden Club which raised a significant proportion of the funds, and Bev
Stubbin, Secretary of Boonah Garden Club unveiled the first sign just outside
the entry to the Centre. The second sign around the corner of the Centre was
